NorthRock® Paver Base is ideal for creating a stable foundation for segmental concrete pavers, clay brick pavers, paving stones, patio stones, concrete edgers, and segmented retaining walls. Made from Class 5 material, a blend of ¾” rock, sand, and fines commonly used for road beds, this moist product compacts firmly to form a strong base. Industry practice recommends 4–6 inches of Paver Base beneath patios or paved areas, followed by tamping or compaction. It is used together with Paver Leveling Sand and Weed-Blocker Paver Locking Sand as part of a complete paver installation system.
